Product description and key benefits
The Ø94 mm NWKc metal drill bit with an MT6 Morse taper marks the upper limit of standard twist drill diameters. Above 100 mm, holes are machined using other methods — boring, peripheral milling, or trepanning. The Ø94 Morse taper drill bit remains effective at a diameter of Ø94, but requires a heavy-duty machine tool and two- or three-stage drilling.

The Ø94 mm Morse taper drill bit is a tool for plants equipped with heavy machine tools — radial drilling machines, boring machines, and machining centers. Typical applications: holes for bearing bushings, valve seats, and process holes in castings. Tolerance H12 (Ø94.000–Ø94.350 mm).

Staged drilling — mandatory
The Ø94 mm drill bit requires two- or three-stage drilling: 1) NC spot drilling at 90°, 2) a Ø25–30 mm pilot hole, 3) the final Ø94 mm drill bit. Drilling without a pilot hole generates an axial force above 25 kN and torque exceeding 200 Nm — risk of spindle damage.

Frequently asked questions about the Ø94 mm drill bit
Maximum runout of 0.03 mm measured at the drill tip. Clean the taper and socket before each installation. Do not nest reduction sleeves. Replace the drill bit if the taper shows signs of wear or indentation.
At least 7 kW with an MT6 Morse taper spindle and power feed. Radial drilling machines with an arm length of at least 1200 mm. Torque at a diameter of 94 mm in steel exceeds 200 Nm.
At least two: 1) a Ø25–30 mm pilot hole, 2) the final Ø94 mm drill bit. For diameters above 90 mm, consider three stages: pilot Ø25 → intermediate Ø50 → final Ø94 mm.
