They are typically used for roughing and medium fine machining, but with optimal selection of parameters and blades, they can also be used for precision machining. The well-thought-out design of face milling cutters enables them to be used for machining two planes simultaneously.

This certainly increases the efficiency of the tasks undertaken. With their help you can machine metals, including non-ferrous metals, unalloyed steels, nickel and titanium alloys. They can be used in professional machining and manufacturing plants, where they can be successfully implemented in traditional machine tools and in modern, computer-controlled machines. The offered face milling cut ters are made of the highest quality high-speed steel, which shows considerable resistance to possible mechanical damage and can be used in multi-batch processing.

Cutters are cutting tools, the work of which consists in the loss of the material being machined. They are manufactured from high-quality HSS, HSSE cobalt high speed steel and VHM carbide. HSS steel has a hardness of 35 HRC, while HSSE steel cutters with the addition of 5% cobalt have a hardness of 37 HRC and are resistant to high temperatures, harsh cutting conditions, tool breakage and chipping. This allows us to do work in steels such as stainless steel and cast iron. The amount of cobalt is not accidental, as too much cobalt could weaken its hardness as well as cause chipping and breakage of the tool. That is why there is only 5% of it.

We divide milling cutters into two groups taking into account the type of their attachment: shank milling cutters, called finger milling cutters, and slip-on milling cutters. Finger milling cutters for metal are self-contained tools that have their own shank along with a cutting part. The only thing missing for machining capability is the toolholder in which the cylindrical shank will be mounted. The cylindrical shanks themselves are also divided into two types: smooth and with Weldon flattening. The purpose of the flattening is to prevent rotation of the shank in the holder. Sintered metal milling cutters are non-self-contained tools, which require an appropriate shank and holder. They are characterized by durable, sharp cutting edges resistant to wear. The steel milling cutters are ideal for face milling and copying in corrosion-resistant steels, high-alloy steels and cast iron. The increased external hardness to about 60 HRC and resistance to high temperatures reaching up to 400 degrees is due to an additional coating of carbon-titanium nitrides.

Cylindricalmilling cutters are produced to reduce costs, because after the blades are worn out, the cutting part itself is replaced and the shank remains the same. Face milling cutters for metal are used in old-type milling machines and conventional machines. They are used for milling shallow protrusions with walls set at almost right angles, for flat machining, shaping, T-slots and other selected surfaces. Cylindrical milling cutters are equipped with blades placed on both the front and side working parts. However, with the appropriate selection of blades as well as parameters, they can be used to perform precision machining as well as two planes simultaneously. They are ideal for roughing as well as medium roughing. Face milling involves machining two surfaces simultaneously. The blades on the peripheral surface of the cutter are helical with a given angle of inclination, which depends on the value of the rake angle on the face blades. In the milling cutters of the overlap:

with medium blades - 20 degrees,
with coarse blades - 30 degrees,
with fine blades - 15 degrees,

The most important requirement is to achieve an angle of 90 degrees. Cylindrical-face milling cutters are recommended for use in professional manufacturing and machining plants where they can be used with traditional machine tools as well as with computer-controlled machines. Face milling cutters are made of high quality steel. They come in a variety of sizes, coatings and HSS high speed steel. We offer milling cutters for machining materials such as steel, alloy and unalloyed steel, gray cast iron, ductile iron, hardened steel as well as hard materials such as stainless steel. Made of HSS steel, these tools have a hardness of 35 HRC, they are very sharp tools, and they can withstand the dynamics of work as well as abrasion and breakage. We can easily guide them in different directions: vertically, horizontally and obliquely,and this is possible thanks to the spherical face they have.
