The M75x1.5 metric die is a specialized round die for cutting external threads with a diameter of 75 mm and an ultra-fine pitch of 1.5 mm. Made from high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 64 HRC, compliant with DIN 22 568, it provides the highest dimensional precision in the absolute most demanding large-scale applications. The M75x1.5 threading die is designed for use in structural steels with a tensile strength of up to 800 MPa and special materials.

The M75x1.5 thread is one of the largest commercially available metric fine threads, used in the most powerful marine engines exceeding 50000 horsepower, nuclear power plant turbine units, high-tonnage hydraulic presses, and wherever the absolute maximum strength is required at the largest possible diameters.
The rod outside diameter should be 74.80-74.92 mm for tolerance class 6g according to DIN 22 568. Chamfer the end of the rod at 45° over a length of 20 mm before starting to cut the thread.
The tool performs very well in steels with a tensile strength not exceeding 800 MPa, cast iron, and aluminum. For stainless steels, the cobalt-containing HSSE version is a better choice.
