The M6X0.75 thread has a smaller pitch, which means more threads per millimeter. This provides greater joint strength at the same engagement length and better resistance to dynamic loads.
The rod diameter should be 5.85-5.92 mm for tolerance 6g. Deburr the end of the rod and chamfer it at 45° over a length of 2-3 mm to help the first cutting edges engage.
For small diameters, a manual die stock with an adjustable opening or a fixed die stock matched to the outside diameter of the die is recommended. Machine die holders with controlled torque are used in series production.
