The M12X1.5 threading die is a cutting tool for cutting external fine threads with a diameter of 12 mm and a pitch of 1.5 mm. Made of HSS steel hardened to 64 HRC, compliant with DIN 22 568, it ensures high dimensional accuracy and long service life in workshop conditions. M12X1.5 has a smaller pitch, providing more threads per unit length. This ensures higher shear strength and better resistance to loosening under vibration, at the same thread engagement length.
According to DIN 22 568 for tolerance 6g, the rod should have a diameter of 11.82-11.92 mm. Chamfer the end of the rod at 45° over a length of 3-4 mm to facilitate tool entry.
The M12X1.5 fine thread is used in hydraulic connections, vehicle components exposed to vibration, precision instruments, and wherever increased strength is required with a limited thread length.
