The M60x1.5 metric die is an advanced round die for cutting external threads with a diameter of 60 mm and an ultra-fine pitch of 1.5 mm. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 64 HRC in accordance with DIN 22 568, it provides the highest dimensional precision in extremely demanding applications. The M60x1.5 threading die is designed for machining structural steels with a tensile strength of up to 800 MPa and special materials.

No, at a diameter of 60 mm and an ultra-fine pitch of 1.5 mm, a holder with axial compensation is absolutely mandatory. Without compensation, it is impossible to achieve the correct thread profile, and attempting to cut the thread without it damages both the die and the workpiece material.
