Frequently asked questions
Prepare a rod (diameter 22.9-22.95 mm) with a carefully formed chamfer. Clamp it very securely to eliminate all vibration. Keep the die strictly perpendicular, making one full turn forward, then back it off half a turn. With an ultra-fine pitch of 0.75 mm, check perpendicularity continuously and lubricate on every turn to ensure the highest thread profile quality.
An ultra-fine pitch of 0.75 mm requires the most intensive lubrication. Use only top-quality threading oils, applying them generously before every turn. At a diameter of 23 mm and a pitch of 0.75 mm, an extremely large number of chips is generated – lubricant must be present at all times. Be sure to consider an automatic lubrication system to ensure a continuous supply.
An ultra-fine pitch of 0.75 mm generates the very highest number of chips per unit of length. At the slightest increase in resistance, immediately unscrew the die completely and clean the flutes very thoroughly with high-pressure compressed air. Verify the rod diameter with a micrometer (extremely tight tolerances of ±0.05 mm). Resume only with the most frequent possible backing off (every 0.5-0.75 turn) and a generous supply of fresh, top-quality lubricant under the supervision of a certified operator.
