Professional cutting of external threads with a diameter of 45 mm and a fine pitch of 4 mm on shafts and structural components with large cross sections. M45X4 metric die made of HSS steel hardened to 64 HRC ensures stable operation under demanding industrial conditions. Designed for machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and toolrooms machining medium-sized and large steel structures.

Frequently asked questions
Secure the workpiece firmly in a vise or lathe chuck, prepare generous lubrication, and make sure a die stock with sufficiently long handles is available. Such a large diameter requires considerable force, so consider assistance from a second person.
Heavy-duty machining lubricants with EP (extreme pressure) additives that withstand high loads are recommended. Standard lubricants may burn off under the high frictional forces encountered when threading diameters above 40 mm.
With proper lubrication and regular cleaning, the tool lasts 120 to 200 threading cycles. Tool life depends on steel hardness, thread length, and the operator's technique.
