Die M26x2.5 HSS DIN 22 568 – standard threading on large diameters
The M26x2.5 threading die is a professional round die for cutting external threads with a diameter of 26 mm and a standard pitch of 2.5 mm. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 64 HRC in accordance with DIN 22 568, it provides high dimensional accuracy in industrial applications. The M26x2.5 metric die is designed for machining structural steels with a tensile strength of up to 800 MPa and light alloys.

According to DIN 22 568, for tolerance 6g, the rod diameter should be 25.70-25.85 mm. Chamfer the end of the rod at 45° over a length of 6 mm to make it easier to start cutting the thread.
At a diameter of 26 mm, manual threading is possible but requires considerable force and secure clamping. A die stock with a long handle of at least 400 mm or a machine drive with torque control is recommended for better thread quality and reduced operator effort.
