Frequently asked questions
The tool performs very well in steels with a tensile strength not exceeding 800 MPa, gray cast iron, and aluminum. For stainless steels, the cobalt-containing HSSE version is a better choice.
The M30x3 fine-thread version has a pitch of 3 mm instead of the standard 3.5 mm. This provides greater connection stability and allows more precise adjustment.
A dedicated threading lubricant or machine oil is recommended. Proper lubrication reduces friction and can extend cutting edge life by up to a factor of 2.5.
