M30x1.5 left-hand HSS die, DIN 22 568 – left-hand fine threading on large cross sections
The M30x1.5 left-hand threading die is a professional round die for cutting left-hand external threads with a diameter of 30 mm and a fine pitch of 1.5 mm. Made from high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 64 HRC in accordance with DIN 22 568, it provides high dimensional accuracy in demanding applications. The M30x1.5 left-hand metric die is designed for machining structural steels with a tensile strength of up to 800 MPa and nonferrous alloys.

Frequently asked questions
The tool is designed for cutting left-hand threads in clockwise-rotating components, such as left bicycle pedals, certain spindles, or drive shafts. The left-hand thread direction counteracts self-loosening.
The M30x1.5 left-hand version has the opposite thread direction and a pitch of 1.5 mm instead of the standard 3.5 mm. This combination ensures maximum joint stability and resistance to loosening.
The tool must be turned counterclockwise. After each turn, reverse the die half a turn clockwise to remove chips. Maintain continuous lubrication throughout the process.
