4.2 mm cobalt drill bit for metal HSSE Inox. A professional straight-shank twist drill compliant with dimensional standard NWKa, DIN 338, with a diameter of 4.2 mm. Designed for drilling hard and difficult-to-machine materials. It features 2 central cutting edges and strong ground cutting edges. Special flutes provide rapid chip evacuation up the hole being drilled. The drill is manufactured from special high-grade HSS-E high-speed steel. This modern tool steel contains cobalt as an important component, at approximately 5%. It increases drill hardness and durability and enables operation under demanding conditions. The cutting edges of cobalt drill bits resist mechanical damage (breakage, chipping and dulling), allowing a very long tool service life. They are suitable for machining alloy steels, stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel, as well as cast steel and cast iron. The drill's high resistance to elevated temperatures (up to 670°C) enables drilling at very high speeds. 4.2 mm cobalt drill bit for metal is recommended for various types of machine tools, including conventional drilling machines, milling machines, lathes and CNC machine tools.
