Modern twist drills with smooth straight shanks and high cutting performance, designed for drilling through holes and blind holes in hard and difficult-to-machine materials. The drills available in our store have a diameter of 4.9 mm, 2 central cutting edges, special flutes for efficient chip evacuation, and strong cutting edges resistant to impact and lateral forces. Our straight-shank drills are manufactured to the NWKa, DIN 338 dimensional standard from modern HSSE cobalt high-speed steel. This steel offers exceptional cutting performance and withstands very severe operating conditions. Drills made from this material are highly resistant to the high temperatures generated during high-speed cutting. The drill cutting edges resist breakage, cracking, edge chipping, spalling, and even dulling. This ensures a very long service life. 4.9 mm cobalt drill bit for metal is suitable for conventional and computer numerically controlled machine tools.
