8.6 mm cobalt drill bit for metal HSSE Inox. A straight-shank twist drill conforming to NWKa, DIN 338, with a diameter of 8.6 mm. Designed for professional machining of hard unalloyed steels, metals, nonferrous metals, metal alloys, and plastics. Drills of this type feature 2 central cutting edges, strong cutting edges, and special flutes for evacuating chips from the drilled hole. The straight-shank drills offered are made from special HSS-E high-speed steel, with cobalt as a key constituent – approximately 5%. The addition of this element enables high-speed drilling at high temperatures up to 670°. In addition, cobalt drill bits withstand very severe cutting conditions and resist breakage, cracking, edge fracture, and other mechanical damage. 8.6 mm cobalt drill bits for metal enable highly productive and very precise machining. The holes remain axially aligned over their entire length and have low surface roughness. The drills are designed for drilling machines, lathes, milling machines, and CNC machine tools.
