M32x2 left-hand HSS die, DIN 22 568 – left-hand fine threading on large cross sections
The M32x2 left-hand threading die is a specialized round die for cutting external left-hand threads with a diameter of 32 mm and a fine pitch of 2 mm. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 64 HRC in accordance with DIN 22 568, it ensures high dimensional accuracy in demanding applications. The M32x2 left-hand metric die is designed for machining structural steels with a maximum tensile strength of 800 MPa and light alloys.

Professional workshops use the M32x2 left-hand die in the production of clockwise-rotating industrial spindles and machine transmission components, and wherever protection against self-loosening combined with maximum joint strength under extreme vibration is required.
Frequently asked questions
Combining a left-hand thread with a fine pitch of 2 mm provides dual protection: the left-hand direction prevents loosening during clockwise rotation, while the fine pitch increases the thread count by 50 percent compared with the standard 3 mm pitch, resulting in higher strength and a larger load-bearing area.
The outside diameter of the bar should be 31.75-31.90 mm in accordance with tolerance 6g specified in DIN 22 568. The leading end of the bar should be chamfered at 45° over a length of 8 mm to protect the first cutting edges from damage.
Prepare a bar of the appropriate diameter, chamfer the end, and secure it firmly. Guide the die perpendicular to the axis, turning counterclockwise, and back off half a turn every two full turns. Apply plenty of threading oil and avoid excessive pressure during cutting.
