The M28x2 left-hand Fra metric die is a professional round die for cutting external left-hand threads with a diameter of 28 mm and a fine pitch of 2 mm. Manufactured by Fabrika Reznog Alata from high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 64 HRC in accordance with DIN 22 568, it ensures high dimensional accuracy in industrial applications. The M28x2 left-hand threading die is designed for cutting threads in structural steels with a maximum tensile strength of 800 MPa.

Prepare a bar with a diameter of 27.75-27.90 mm and chamfer the end at 45° over a length of 7 mm. Secure it firmly in a vise and guide the left-hand die perpendicular to the axis, turning counterclockwise at 10-14 rpm, backing off half a turn every two full turns, and applying plenty of threading oil.
