The M15X1.5 left-hand threading die is a specialized tool for cutting external left-hand threads with a diameter of 15 mm and a fine pitch of 1.5 mm. Made from high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 64 HRC in accordance with DIN 22 568, it provides dimensional precision in applications requiring left-hand threads. The M15X1.5 left-hand metric die is designed for machining structural steels with a maximum tensile strength of 800 MPa and nonferrous alloys.

Frequently asked questions
Combining a left-hand thread with a fine pitch of 1.5 mm provides dual protection: the left-hand direction prevents loosening during clockwise rotation, while the fine pitch increases the number of threads for improved strength and vibration resistance.
The rod diameter should be 14.80-14.92 mm in accordance with tolerance 6g according to DIN 22 568. Material preparation is identical to that for right-hand threads - only the cutting direction is reversed.
A left-hand die (left-hand) is turned to the left, or counterclockwise. This is the opposite of standard right-hand dies, which are turned clockwise.
