12.7 mm metal drill bit HSS. NWKa twist drill with a straight shank and a drilling diameter of 12.7 mm. Designed for professional machining of metals, hard unalloyed tool steels, nonferrous metals, metal alloys, and plastics. Its increased hardness, wear resistance, and ability to withstand demanding operating conditions come from the special high-speed steel (HSS) from which it is made. This steel improves both drilling precision and productivity. Straight shank drills of this type can be used in bench drilling machines, industrial drilling machines, and computer-controlled CNC machine tools. The drills feature two central cutting lips, ground edges, and a 118° point angle. They enable precise drilling and efficient chip evacuation to the top of the hole. The superior properties of high-speed steel also ensure long drill life and resistance to mechanical damage, helping reduce overall machining costs.
