Nominal diameter 1.25 mm; point angle 118°; straight shank, tolerance h8; ground helical flutes to reduce resistance. Material: high-purity HSS high-speed steel with a fine-grained microstructure and resistance to tempering. Manufactured to DIN 338; mounting in a precision chuck and liquid cooling are recommended to stabilize the diameter.
- IT12 accuracy — holes achieve grade IT12 according to ISO 286 under shop-floor conditions with the correct feed and spindle speed.
- Stable hole starting — the 118° geometry reduces axial forces and slipping, improving centering on flat surfaces.
