The 0.8 mm HSS DIN 338metal drill bit is designed for precision micro-holedrilling in structural steels, cast iron and non-ferrous alloys; in workshop applications, it provides a stable cutting path and maintains IT12 grade dimension.
The nominal diameter is 0.8 mm. The 118-degree tip angle promotes secure drilling and uniform blade loading, and the helical, precision-ground grooves promote continuous chip evacuation in the right cutting direction. The drills are designed for conventional lathes, milling and drilling machines, as well as specialized computer-controlled numerical control machine tools. A core of homogeneous high-purity high-speed steel increases wear resistance and edge stability. Length execution according to DIN 338 (normal length) and cylindrical shank facilitate installation in standard chucks.
Compliance with DIN 338 and reference to PN-EN ISO 286 allow the holes obtained to qualify for workshop fits; as a result, the fi 0.8 mm metal drill provides predictable diameter, alignment and a clean exit edge in typical micromachining tasks.
