0.8 mm metal drill bit HSS DIN 338 is designed for precision drilling of microholes in structural steels, cast iron and nonferrous alloys; in workshop applications, it provides a stable cutting path and maintains dimensions within the IT12 tolerance grade.
The nominal diameter is 0.8 mm. The 118° point angle promotes reliable drill entry and even loading of the cutting edges, while precision-ground helical flutes support continuous chip evacuation during right-hand cutting. The drills are intended for conventional lathes, milling machines and drilling machines, as well as specialized computer numerical control machine tools. A core of homogeneous, high-purity high-speed steel increases wear resistance and cutting edge stability. The length conforms to DIN 338 (jobber length), and the straight shank facilitates mounting in standard chucks.
