Ø1.1 metal drill bit with a straight shank
1.1 mm metal drill bit HSS DIN 338 is designed for drilling nominal-size holes in structural steels, cast iron, and nonferrous alloys; in workshop applications, it also performs well as a Ø1.1 mm drill bit for steel, maintaining a stable cutting path and IT12 accuracy.
The cutting diameter is 1.1 mm, and the 118° point angle balances cutting forces and facilitates centering. Precision-ground helical flutes ensure continuous chip evacuation during right-hand cutting. The high-purity high-speed steel core ensures abrasion resistance and long-lasting edge sharpness. The drill has a standard length in accordance with DIN 338; high spindle speeds, micrometric feed, precise clamping, and cooling with emulsion or oil mist are recommended for dimensional repeatability.
- Repeatability of IT12 tolerance grade — dimensional stability is enhanced by 1.1 mm metal drill bit with properly selected speeds, feed, and rigid clamping.
