14.3 metal drill bit mm HSS. Modern straight-shank twist drill with a cutting diameter of Ø14.3 mm, manufactured to the NWKa DIN 338 dimensional standard. The drill is made of special high-grade high-speed steel (HSS). The properties of this steel allow through holes and blind holes to be drilled in very hard and difficult-to-machine materials such as carbon (unalloyed) steels, metals, tool steels, copper, aluminum, bronze, brass and plastics. High-speed steel also significantly improves cutting precision and enables higher machining productivity. The drills feature 2 central cutting edges with ground edges that increase drill strength. The drill edges withstand impacts and lateral forces. Furthermore 14.3 metal drill bit mm withstands demanding operating conditions and very rarely suffers mechanical damage such as cutting edge breakage, flaking, dulling or chipping. As a result, the tools can be used for a long time without replacement. They can be used on conventional drilling machines, milling machines, lathes and CNC machine tools.
