M5x0.5 hand taps for stainless steel
Hand Tap M5x0.5 DIN 2181/2 6H HSSE is used for making fine internal threads in steel and high-strength structural materials. In assembly work, predictable coil geometry and axial stability are facilitated by the use of the M5x0.5 Hand Thread Set, whose two-stage design distributes cutting loads.
Technical specifications: nominal diameter five millimeters; pitch 0.5 mm; metric profile 60 degrees according to ISO 68-1; bore tolerance 6H according to ISO 965; right-hand thread; straight chip grooves for controlled chip evacuation. Manufactured from cobalt alloyed HSSE high-speed steel, subjected to grinding, increases wear resistance and cutting edge stability. The two-member arrangement according to DIN 2181/2 includes an insertion tapping (I) and a finishing tapping (II). Recommended drill bit: 4.5 mm; use of active coolant improves finish quality.
