Taps of this type are manufactured in accordance with DIN 374 from special HSSE high-speed steel. This type of steel is characterized by better cutting properties, which contributes to higher threading efficiency and greater precision of the threads made. In addition, the advantages of high-speed steel affect the higher strength of the thread-cutters and the resistance of their blades to potential mechanical damage.
