The high cutting parameters of dies made from HSS (High Speed Steel) allow thread cutting on workpieces made of very hard and hard-to-machine materials. This includes unalloyed steels (carbon steels), metals, non-ferrous metals, metal alloys (brass, bronze), as well as thermosetting plastics.
For proper use of die, you will need a M18 dies holder - in the case of manual threading or a lathe dies holder. The process of threading the external thread itself is very simple and in one pass. We hold the thread cutter, and after about two full turns, we reverse the thread cutter to break the chip and continue to screw the thread cutter onto the bar. The action of breaking the chip is repeated depending on the resistance of the threading process.
