Professional 3/8 inch tapered reamer for ASME B94.2-1995 threads, recommended for machining holes for tapered threads with a 1:16 convergence. Rc and NPT threads o ¾ finishing reamer made entirely of specialized cobalt HSSE high-speed steel. The addition of 5% cobalt increases the strength of the blades to withstand very harsh cutting conditions, as well as enhancing cutting properties. Cobalt steel allows cutting very hard materials such as alloy steels, stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel, cast steel, cast iron and others.
