Metric die M18X1.5 HSSE Inox made of cobalt-alloyed high-speed steel (HSS) hardened to 67 HRC in accordance with DIN 22568 (Deutsches Institut für Normung – German Institute for Standardization), ensures effective machining of INOX materials. The tool is intended for threading stainless steels with a maximum tensile strength of 1000 MPa and corrosion-resistant alloys. Do not use it in materials with hardness exceeding 40 HRC.
Chamfer the edge of the component at 45°, clamp the rod securely, and position the die perpendicular to the axis. Cut the thread with lighter pressure than for ordinary steel, regularly reversing the tool half a turn and using a specialized lubricant for INOX.
