Carbide insert for threading 22 IR 4.5 ISO HTA Horn is a high-performance cutting tool designed for precision turning of metric internal threads with a 60-degree triangular profile. Thanks to the full profile, the insert forms the entire outline of the thread - from the bottom to the apex - ensuring compliance with the ISO standard, dimensional accuracy and a smooth surface of the workpiece.
Carbide insert it is dedicated to threads with a pitch of 4.5 mm, which allows for the production of large metric common threads (M) and fine threads (MF). The 22 IR geometry allows for efficient and repeatable turning of right-hand internal threads in serial and unit production.
Made of high-quality HTA carbide, the insert is characterized by high wear resistance and stable operation in machining carbon steels, alloy steels, cast iron, stainless steels and non-ferrous metals. The protective coating increases tool life and ensures reproducible thread quality even under demanding cutting conditions.
