Carbide insert for threading 22 IR 5 ISO HTA Horn is a specialized tool designed for precision turning of metric internal threads with a 60-degree triangular profile. Thanks to the full profile, the insert reproduces the entire outline of the thread - from the bottom to the apex - which guarantees compliance with the ISO standard, high accuracy and a smooth surface of the workpiece.
Carbide insert it is dedicated to threads with a pitch of 5 mm, which makes it possible to machine large metric common threads (M) and fine threads (MF). The 22 IR geometry allows for efficient and repeatable turning of right-hand internal threads in unit and series production.
Made of high-grade HTA carbide, the insert is characterized by high wear resistance and stable operation in a wide range of materials - from carbon and alloy steels, through cast iron, to stainless steels and non-ferrous metals. An additional protective coating increases tool life and provides better heat dissipation in difficult cutting conditions.
22 IR 5 ISO HTA Horn is used in lathe knives designed to clamp internal inserts with a 22 mm socket. Clamping is carried out with a Torx M4x16 screw, which guarantees stability and process security.
