Drill fi11.5 for Hardox hardened steel with brazed carbide insert designed for stable drilling in Hardox HBW 400/450/500 sheets and sections and hard-to-machine steels. The 118-degree tip geometry ensures secure centering without pre-drilling, and the h8 cylindrical shank guarantees precise clamping in drill chucks and CNC holders.
The supporting steel body works with a brazed VHM insert with high wear resistance. Working diameter is 11.5 mm; feed and cutting speed parameters should be selected according to material hardness. The recommended external cooling reduces the heating of the cutting edge and stabilizes the hole dimension within the range typical for Hardox.
