Drill fi 14 for hardened steel
Drill fi14 for Hardox hardened steel with brazed carbide insert designed for stable drilling in Hardox HBW 400/450/500 plates and sections, as well as in hard-to-machine steels. The 118-degree tip geometry provides predictable centering, and the h8 cylindrical shank allows rigid, repeatable clamping in drill chucks and CNC holders.
The supporting steel body works with a VHM insert with high wear resistance. Working diameter 14 mm; feed and cutting speed parameters should be adjusted according to the hardness and thickness of the material. Smooth-profile chip grooves promote chip evacuation, and recommended external cooling reduces overheating and increases cutting edge life.
