Drill fi 13 for hardox hardened metals
Drill fi13 for Hardox hardened steel with brazed carbide insert designed for drilling holes in Hardox HBW 400/450/500 sheets and sections, as well as in hard-to-machine steels. The 118-degree tip geometry allows stable centering, and the h8 cylindrical shank guarantees rigid clamping in drill chucks and CNC holders.
The supporting steel body works with a brazed VHM insert with high wear resistance. A working diameter of 13 mm allows for mounting and process holes in hardened materials. The use of external cooling reduces overheating and increases the life of the cutting edge.
Key features
- Point angle of 118 degrees - reduced axial forces and secure centering.
- H8 cylindrical shank - accurate clamping and minimal radial runout.
- Carbide insert VHM brazed - wear resistance and stability of the cutting edge.
- Smooth surface chip grooves - efficient chip evacuation.
- Geometry adapted to hard-to-machine steels - controlled chip forming and breaking.
- Compatible with chucks and holders typical of column drills and CNC centers.
Applications: Drill 13 for Hardox hardened steel dedicated to drilling holes in Hardox HBW 400/450/500 and high strength steels. With correct cutting parameters, Drill 13 for Hardox hardened steel provides repeatable hole quality and stable edge geometry.
