Drill fi12 for Hardox hardened steel with brazed carbide insert designed for drilling Hardox HBW 400/450/500 sheet and sections, as well as hard-to-machine steels. The 118-degree tip geometry provides predictable centering, and the h8 cylindrical shank allows rigid, repeatable clamping in CNC chucks and holders.
The steel body works with a VHM insert with high wear resistance. Working diameter is 12 mm; feed selection and cutting speed should be adjusted according to the hardness of the workpiece material. Recommended external cooling extends edge life and stabilizes hole diameter under Hardox machining conditions.
