Drill fi11 for Hardox hardened steel with brazed carbide insert designed for stable drilling in Hardox HBW 400/450/500 sheets and sections, as well as in hard-to-machine steels. The 118-degree tip geometry provides predictable centering, and the h8 cylindrical shank allows precise clamping in drill chucks and CNC holders.
The steel backing body mates with a brazed VHM insert with improved wear resistance. Working diameter 11 mm; feed and cutting speed parameters should be selected according to material hardness. Recommended external cooling improves cutting edge life and dimensional stability of holes in the range typical for Hardox.
