UNF 1/2-20 left-hand die cuts left-hand external threads with a diameter of 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) and 20 threads per inch. The UNF (Unified National Fine) fine thread standard offers 54% more threads per inch than its UNC 1/2-13 counterpart. The left-hand thread prevents self-loosening in equipment rotating clockwise.
