Die UNS 7/16-27 HSS – special inch die with an extra-fine pitch
Die UNS 7/16-27 is a professional tool for producing external threads with a nonstandard extra-fine pitch in the American Unified National Special system. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) in accordance with DIN 22568, it enables cutting of threads with a diameter of 7/16 inch (11.11 mm) and a pitch of 27 threads per inch.

UNS (Unified National Special) is a thread with a nonstandard combination of diameter and pitch. For a size of 7/16 inch, the standard values are: UNC 14 TPI, UNF 20 TPI, UNEF 28 TPI. The 27 TPI pitch does not fall within any of these series.
The Unified system also includes: UNC – coarse threads, UNF – fine threads, UNEF – extra-fine threads, and UN – threads with constant thread counts: 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 28, or 32 per inch.
