UNF 3/8-24 left-hand die cuts left-hand external threads with a diameter of 3/8 inch (9.53 mm) and 24 threads per inch. The UNF (Unified National Fine) system provides 50% more threads than the corresponding UNC 3/8-16 size, resulting in higher load capacity. The left-hand thread prevents self-loosening in rotating equipment.
