Left-hand UNF 1 3/4-12 HSS die – for precise large-diameter joints
Left-hand UNF 1 3/4-12 die enables cutting of left-hand external threads with a diameter of 1 3/4 inch (44.45 mm) and a pitch of 12 threads per inch. The UNF (Unified National Fine) standard provides a pitch more than 2 times finer than UNC, resulting in a stronger joint and better vibration resistance. HSS steel construction ensures durability when machining materials up to 800 MPa.
Features of the left-hand UNF 1 3/4-12 die
- Left-hand thread (LH – left hand) – prevents self-loosening in rotating mechanisms
- Fine pitch of 12 threads/inch – 2.4 times as many threads as UNC (5 threads/inch), higher load capacity
- Diameter of 44.45 mm – for heavy components in the machinery and power generation industries
- HSS steel in accordance with DIN 22568 – for machining steel, cast iron, and aluminum alloys
- Thread profile angle 60° – fully compatible with the Unified National system
The die is used in turbines, machine tool spindles, industrial units, and wherever the direction of rotation requires a left-hand thread. The fine UNF pitch minimizes the risk of loosening under vibration.
