The 16 ER 0.8 ISO BMA thread insert is a full ISO profile turning tool dedicated to making metric threads with a pitch of 0.8 mm. The insert for right-handed metric external threads with a complete outline according to the ISO standard forms M5 threads and other fine threads of the same pitch including coil tips without additional machining.
The insert is used in the production of precision mechanics and parts requiring M5 threads and fine threaded connections with a pitch of 0.8 mm. Ideal for workshops making series of parts with fine threads requiring dimensional repeatability. Prepare the nominal diameter of the shaft before starting the threading operation on the lathe.
