Carbide insert for threading 22 ER 5 ISO HTA Horn is a professional cutting tool designed for turning ISO-compliant metric external threads. Carbide insert it has a full thread profile with an angle of 60 degrees and a pitch of 5 mm, which allows for the precise production of large metric ordinary threads (M) and fine threads (MF).
Thanks to the full profile, the insert reproduces the entire outline of the thread - both the base and the tip - ensuring compliance with the ISO standard, high surface quality and dimensional repeatability. This solution eliminates the need for additional diameter machining, which translates into shorter production times.
Made of high-quality HTA carbide, the insert is characterized by high wear resistance and stable operation in machining carbon steels, alloy steels, cast iron, stainless steels and non-ferrous metals. The protective coating increases tool life and guarantees reproducible thread quality even under demanding conditions.
22 ER 5 ISO HTA Horn fits lathe cutters with a 22 mm socket, m.in. SER 20x20 22, SER 25x25 22, SER 32x32 22 and SER 40x40 22. Fastening is carried out with a Torx M4x16 screw, which ensures secure and stable insert seating in the socket.
