It has a metric shank fi ¾ inch (19.05 mm), mounted in a special Morse taper chuck or directly in a collet. Trepanning drills fi 46 for tubular metal are also called trepanning or crown drills. They are used for machining holes only on their circumference. This way of machining affects the formation of fewer chips, and the so-called "leftover material" can be used as full-value material.
