Professional 1/4-28 UNF left machine taps with elongated shank, conforming to the standard marked DIN 371. The machine taps in question are suitable for cutting American unified fine UNF threads. These are inch threads with a diameter of ¼ inch, 28 turns per inch. The tolerance field of the threads made is 2B and the thread outline is triangular (60 degree angle). The advantage of the taps is that they are manufactured from modern cobalt HSSE high-speed steel. This is a steel whose essential component is cobalt (5%). The raw material influences a noticeable increase in cutting efficiency, which shortens the machining time of a single workpiece and at the same time allows a more rational use of available workstations. As a result, it also affects the reduction of labor costs. The 1/4-28 UNF left unified machine taps we offer are resistant to harsh working conditions and abrasion-resistant at high temperatures - up to 670 degrees. They are suitable for machining parts made of alloy steels, stainless steels, heat-resistant and acid-resistant steels, as well as cast steel and cast iron.
