Machine tapping M4 for stainless steel DIN 371
Specialized M4 machine taps with through shank for threading short holes (nuts). It can be used to cut metric plain threads, ISO DIN-13, with an angle of 60 degrees, type M, section 4 mm. The tapping tool has an A nut, which gives straight chips and allows threading of short through holes. The biggest advantage of the threader is that it is manufactured from a specialized cobalt high-speed steel - HSSE. The addition of 5% cobalt significantly increases the hardness of the threader and thus allows for higher cutting parameters. Cobalt steel allows cutting very hard and hard-to-machine materials such as alloy steels, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel, metal alloys, non-ferrous metals. Another advantage of the tapping machine is the ability to achieve higher cutting efficiency, while making better use of the workstation. The use of this type of tapping machine is recommended not only for technical reasons, but most importantly for economic reasons.
