UNC No 8-32 HSS die – tool for small-diameter inch threads
UNC No 8-32 die enables cutting of external threads with a diameter of No 8 (4.17 mm) and a pitch of 32 threads per inch. This is a standard size used in the American electronics and precision engineering industries. Made of high-speed steel (HSS), it provides high durability.

The Unified system also includes: UNF – fine threads, UNEF – extra fine threads, UNS – special threads, and UN – constant-pitch threads with 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 28, or 32 threads per inch.
The UNC standard has a coarser pitch and fewer threads per inch than UNF. A No 8 UNC thread has 32 threads, while No 8 UNF has 36 threads per inch. Thread pitch gauges are used for measurement.
