Die 7/16-20 UNF unified American for cutting external threads. Die UNF, round designed for cutting American unified external threads. These are LH left-hand threads, type UNF 7/16-20. Die UNF 7/16-20 were produced by the Polish company FANAR, in accordance with the dimensional standard DIN 22568. A special molybdenum high-speed steel HSS 800 was used for the production of tools. It is a steel characterized by increased strength for very difficult working conditions. It allows machining of very hard and hard-to-machine materials: steels with toughness up to 800 MPa, unalloyed structural steels, metals, aluminum, copper, bronze, brass.
Unlike conventional tool steel, die produced from HSS are very resistant to harsh machining conditions, allow threading at very high speed, during which high temperature (even d 600 degrees) is generated. Their blades are resistant to breakage, chipping cracks and other types of mechanical damage, which allows for long service life and lower labor costs.
