Modern 7/8-9 machine tapping machine for making fine threads American unified. Type of UNF threads, cross section of 7/8-9 coils per inch. The tolerance class of the threads made is 2B, the outline of the threads with a triangular shape. Outline type B (3 - 5 P) - for threading through holes in materials that give short chips. It is characterized by high resistance to fracture, cracking, chipping, breaking out and other types of mechanical damage. In addition, machine threaders of this class are resistant to abrasion and the ability to retain hardness when exposed to high temperatures (up to 600 degrees C). The high cutting properties of taps also contribute to higher machining efficiency, thus significantly reducing working time and labor costs. They can be used for threading workpieces made of materials marked P1.2 - P1.3.
