Turning tool S20R SSSCL 09 Smoxh is a professional turning tool boring bar for internal turning, designed for CCMT 09T3rr inserts (rr - corner radius). The 45-degree bevel angle allows for 45-degree chamfers, undercuts, profiling and access to the bottom of holes. Left execution (L) means feed from left to right with standard spindle direction, making this model a complement to right-hand cutters in complex turning processes.
The toolholder works with CCMT 09T3 inserts with a C-shape (corner angle of 80 degrees) and a C-angle of 7 degrees. The center bolt fastening ensures stable establishment and quick installation, and the fi 20 mm shank offers high rigidity, allowing stable operation even at higher cutting parameters. The length of the shank extension should be selected according to its diameter, because the greater the extension, the higher the risk of vibration. The recommended rule is:
maximum overhang length = 4 × shank diameter
For a fi 20 mm shank, the maximum safe overhang is 80 mm.
Turning tool S20R SSSCL 09 Smoxh allows the use of CCMT 09T carbide inserts for steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum, as well as CBN-tipped inserts for hard materials.
