Turning tool S16P SSSCL left 09 Smoxh is a professional turning tool boring bar for internal turning, designed for CCMT 09T3rr inserts (rr - corner radius). The 45-degree bevel angle makes it possible to perform 45-degree chamfers, undercuts, profiling and to reach the bottom of holes. The left-hand execution (L) means feed from left to right with the standard direction of spindle rotation, which allows the tool to be used in operations requiring the opposite configuration to standard right-hand cutters.
The toolholder works with CCMT 09T3 inserts with a C-shape (corner angle of 80 degrees) and a C-angle of 7 degrees. Mounting with a central screw guarantees stable fixation and quick insert change, and the fi 16 mm shank provides adequate rigidity in internal machining. An important factor is the length of the shank extension - the greater the extension in relation to the diameter, the greater the risk of vibration. The recommended selection rule is:
maximum extension length = 4 × shank diameter
For a fi 16 mm shank, this means a maximum safe extension of 64 mm.
Turning tool S16P SSSCL 09 Smoxh allows you to clamp CCMT 09T carbide inserts for steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum, as well as CBN-tipped inserts for machining hard materials.
