The7178 long milling arbor belongs to the usual equipment of horizontal milling machines and is used to attach milling cutters with a drive groove. The 7:24 tapered shank of the arbor is seated in the tapered socket of the spindle, either directly or via a reduction sleeve, and is pressed against the socket by a screw passing through the spindle bore.
