Toroid cutterfi 8 R-0.5 Z-4 VHM 45 HRC is a solid carbide (VHM) cutter for machining structural and alloy steels, austenitic stainless steels and cast iron up to 45 HRC hardness. The 0.5mm R-corner radius strengthens the edge and reduces stress concentration, which improves resistance to micro-crushing with precise small radius guidance.
The fi 8 diameter allows access to narrow pockets and grooves, and the torus geometry makes it easier to form radius-to-wall transitions without creating excessive jaggedness. The Z-4 arrangement provides four active blades for even loading and stable milling.
